Shortlisted for Communication Arts 2024 Awards – Editorial Illustration.

Had lots of fun drawing this double cover for Outsider magazine. Featured is Ljubljana’s famed Republic Square (Trg Republike) in two versions – one showing the creeping privatisation of public space, while the latter one imagines a retro-futuristic conversion of the buildings to “Potocnikov Space Center” (named after a visionary Slovene scientist Herman Potocnik – google him!).⁠

The two Brutalist buildings (TR3 and Ljubljanska Banka) were designed by leading Slovene Modernist architect Edvard Ravnikar, who passed away 30 years ago. ⁠
